A boat party out of Port Olímpic is the anchor event of any Barcelona group trip — when it's done properly. Here is how the good ones work.
Spanish law caps standard charters at 12 guests per boat. Groups up to 12 get a single yacht or catamaran; bigger groups either split across vessels sailing together — which honestly becomes part of the fun — or move to event-licensed boats built for numbers. Anyone promising a standard yacht for 20 is promising a problem.
Group charters typically run 70 to 150 euros per person for a 4-hour sailing including boat, crew and a standard open bar. Premium spirits, catering on deck, DJs and photographers stack on top. Private full-boat charters for smaller groups start around 900 euros for the afternoon.
The landing plan. The boat ends at 20:30 with fifteen people salty, hungry and very much awake. The groups that planned dinner and a table land like professionals; the ones that didn't stand in the marina arguing with taxi apps.
